Solid Core Construction – MDF Core

There are three core material options for our solid core doors: HMR particle board, MDF, VH grade Foam. All have various benefits which can be chosen to suit the application. These are all MDF faced which give the best paint finish. The internal frame around the door also varies for each core type.

Solid MDF Core doors are one of our heavier door builds. We have options for plain MDF edges and also hoop pine frame around the perimeter being the recommended option. Our Rapid 404SC range is solid MDF with just one stile of the door being hoop pine. Reason for this is to be able to get good screw holding on the hinge side – as part our Rapid range, we can manufacture these in 5 working days.
